Helmark Delivery Practitioner

Apply the standard to the code you personally ship.

What this covers

HDP certifies the practitioner level of the Helmark Standard: how an individual developer classifies AI involvement in their own work, verifies it in proportion to that involvement, and protects their own understanding of the code they ship.

The training is method-agnostic. It works with Scrum, Kanban or no formal process at all, with any tracker and zero new tools. No prerequisites are required.

Outcome

You leave able to honestly label every task NONE / ASSIST / CORE, write audit-ready prompt descriptions and ASSIST notes, verify AI-generated code as an activity rather than a read-through, and leave Handover sentences that prove you understand what you are handing over.

The standard itself is free and open.

Curriculum

  1. Cognitive debt and rule R1. Responsibility can never be transferred to a tool.
  2. NONE / ASSIST / CORE classification. Use the main-result question and the removal rule to classify honestly.
  3. Agent work. Agent output is CORE by definition, with a human owner assigned before the agent starts.
  4. Classification sources. Manual, automated and hybrid classification; a tool may set the label, never satisfy verification.
  5. The ASSIST note and prompt description. Record what was ordered, what constraints were given and what was accepted unchanged.
  6. How AI-generated code really fails. Treat verification as an activity, not a read-through.
  7. The Handover sentence. One line that tests whether you understand your own code.
  8. Knowledge Anchors and Focus Blocks. Use the 15-minute test and protected thinking time to maintain understanding.
  9. Practice and exam preparation. Ten hands-on exercises and a certification mock exam.

Helmark AI Delivery Lead

Roll the standard out, keep it honest and make it auditable.

What this covers

HDL certifies the leadership level of the Helmark Standard: rolling the standard out across a team, keeping classification honest, measuring understanding as a tracked resource and passing an audit.

Practitioner mechanics are assumed at entry. This course is about the system, not your own tasks.

Outcome

You leave with a five-day implementation plan for a real team, the conversational tools to address under-classification without a witch hunt, a living Anchor map with a cyclic Cognitive Debt Signal, a defensible Focus Block rule, and the ability to self-audit with the ten-question checklist before an auditor — or production.

Curriculum

  1. Implementing the standard in five days. No process change, no new tools and only three tracker requirements.
  2. Classification honesty at team level. Four under-classification signals and the conversation, not the investigation.
  3. Anchor mapping across components. Separate structural from temporary orphans and reinforce that Anchor does not mean author.
  4. The Cognitive Debt Signal. Set the cadence, assign who-and-by-when for orphaned components and track the trend.
  5. Establishing and defending Focus Blocks. Answer the PM, the developer and the director without weakening the rule.
  6. Anti-theatre auditing. Distinguish working controls from evidence created only for the audit.
  7. Maturity levels and bottleneck diagnosis. Identify what blocks the next level and remove it deliberately.
  8. Full-cycle capstone. Move from zero to first measurement in 30 days, including the board conversation.
  9. Leader boundaries. Define what the lead deliberately does not do.
  10. Practice and exam preparation. Decision-and-conversation exercises and a certification mock exam.

Individual participation in either HDP or HDL costs €249 per person. Team and company groups are priced individually based on group size, delivery format and location.

What the certificates prove

HDP and HDL confirm completion of the corresponding Helmark certification training and the level covered by that course. They are not legal, security, privacy, regulatory, government or ISO certifications.
